Rape attempts rate increasing in recent times! Prevention, Laws and Statistics
A mother was raped in front of her 2 children while travelling to Gujranwala.
On Tuesday night in the limit of Gujjar Pura police, the woman along with her 2 children was travelling to Gujranwala when she had to stop as she ran out of petrol, she called on motorway helpline but according to her, she got no response.
2 rapist approached her broke into the car took them (mother and her children) to the nearby bushes and raped her repeatedly in front of her children' took all the money and jewellery.
Zain Qureshi, a 12years old kid from Multan who was shot on his ass just for resisting rape.
Thankfully the culprits were arrested within 24hours, an appreciable effort indeed.
Another incident happened in Rajanpur where a man was carrying an oppressed little girl and doing imoral things with her. At the same time, a gentleman named Tassaduq Warraich saw this happening and caught him red-handed at the spot.
The evildoer was arrested by the police and found of doing such things before. He used to lure little and innocent girls under the pretext of a mobile phone and take them away.
Rape statistics/ Rape Rate in Pakistan
- According to the study of Human Rights Watch, There is a rap every 2 hours in Pakistan which is alarming
- Did you know there is a gang rape every 8 hours in Pakistan.
- Globally hundred of thousands of girls, women, children are raped every year, countless are killed. According to a report, 91percent of cases are not reported.
- In Pakistan, we have got the same situation, people are afraid of reporting it to the police as the news will be spread in the society and they won't be able to talk to anybody their reputation in the society will be degraded.
Rape History in Pakistan
Looking back in time, we have seen cases where women, childer were raped in the name of honour rape by the orders of village councils known as "JIRGAHS".
We all know about Mukhtarah bibi case, She was raped by a bunch of people by the order of the "Jirga". Her only mistake was that she had a 12 years old brother who was guilty of having sexual relations with a woman of the higher cast.
We all remember "The Kasur child sexual abuse scandal" which came out in 2015. Where approximately 280 to 300 children, were the victim of sexual abuse. The videos were made showing children performing forced sex acts, and sold to porn sites, used to blackmail relatives of the victims.
Zainab murder case was one of the most highlighted cases in Pakistan's history, the 6 years old Zainab was raped and killed, her body was found in a garbage dump later.
Crumbling while writing this and thinking how can someone be this much brutal.
Laws Regarding Rape/ Rape Laws
Under section 375 of Pakistan Penal code 1860, a man is guilty of rape, who has sexual relations with a woman under any of the following descriptions:
- Against her will
- Without her consent
- With or without her consent, if she is under 16
- With her consent but they are not married.
Section 376
Punishment for rape,
Whoever commits rape shall be punished with death or imprisonment, which shall not be less than 10 years and more than 25 years.
Reporting a Case
Though it is not easy to report these cases, most of the families do not report such cases many of the culprits go free because of this.
Unfortunately, the government has not made it so easy for the people to report such cases

Why Rape Cases are Increasing?
The most difficult question right now, why, why is it increasing then?
The only conclusions we could imagine watching the raise of all this is lower literacy rate, no proper punishments.
Rapists should be punished in front of everyone so that it can be an example for the one who intends to do such acts.
How to Stop Rape/ Preventions
If a rapist can not be stopped why not have proper safety measures try to avoid bad company, avoid unsafe situations and strangers
Educating is the best solution, educate your children to save the next generations
Government should PUBLICLY HANG Rapist or PUBLICLY STONED TO DEATH so no one dares to do rape again.
We are living in a society where 12 years boy is raping her 3-year-old baby cousin, 6-year-old Marwah is being kidnapped, killed, raped and burnt in Karachi
So only thing we are talking and demanding is education across Pakistan. Teaching is the only way to stop rape.
